It's now offical, Google acquires Wildfire social media app and company. It appears now that Google is positioning itself to be the leader in offering advertisers more of a platform to connect to a broader audience on social media. It's a pretty big leap for Google, and a new step. We will have to see how they change the game of social advertising. Here is the confirmation letter sent to me just now by Google.
"Earlier this summer, we announced that Wildfire was becoming part of Google. We’re very excited to share the news that it’s official—Wildfire is now a division of Google.
We expect the combination of Wildfire with Google to bring great new benefits for our customers. As a marketer, chances are you’re already using Google solutions such as Google AdWords for search advertising and Google Analytics for web measurement. Now, together with Google, we see an opportunity to help you take a more unified approach across all your digital marketing efforts, including social.
Wildfire's goal has always been to give you social media marketing solutions that drive business results. Today, we’re better positioned to do that than ever before.
We think you’ll like where we’re going.
Want to see how we make it easy to manage all your social properties from one platform?
Watch our demo now.
Sincerely,
The Team at Wildfire, a division of Google"
